Tracy – Douglasville, GA

September 2019

Tracy faced Stage 3, IDC Breast Cancer at 46. Keeping positivity in the forefront, she has shared a little of her spark and determination with us!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that has nothing to do with cancer.

I love to go fishing!

What brought you hope as you faced cancer?

My family and friends brought me the most hope.

How do you live life over cancer?

Stay positive! Know there is always someone out there who may be having a harder time than you. I am thankful for every day that I have!!

How did you become connected with Hope Scarves?

I received a scarf from Hope Scarves in March of 2017. I love the fact that there are charities out there to help in every way, form and FASHION!

What do you wish other people knew about Hope Scarves?

That it is a charity there to help them feel more beautiful than they already are by sending them a scarf to wear… whether it is used on their head or around their neck.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about sending a Hope Scarf to someone facing cancer?

It will make them feel great knowing they were thought of in this very special way.

What is one of your dreams or goals for the future?

My dream is to inspire others to fight through whatever cancer or obstacle they may have in their life, that through prayer, support and a positive attitude, anything is possible.

What is your favorite inspirational quote?

It would be the scripture Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

If your friends or family describe you in just a few words, what would they say?

Positive, fighter, tough.

Please share something you learned facing cancer.

It may sound cliché, but I have learned that I am a lot stronger than I thought, and I can get through anything!!
