Brittany was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 31, just a few days after the arrival of her newborn son. Facing motherhood and cancer simultaneously can be the reality of many women in treatment, and she handles it with strength and grace. Thank you for finding us, Brittany!
For the month of October, we continue to honor our community of Metastatic Breast Cancer survivors. Katie shows her spark and sass every day, LEANING IN to life, and saying YES (and NO) more. She has shared her story with Hope Scarves, and returned her scarf. We love you Katie!
Gretchen is stylish, driven and an all-in kind of friend. She is also living with metastatic breast cancer. You wouldn’t know as she blazes past you in a road race. Her passion for living life over cancer inspires many as one of our October Faces of Hope.
For the month of October, we are giving shout-outs to our amazing Metastatic Breast Cancer community. Meet Tammy – a Hope Scarf recipient, storyteller and MBC thriver living in North Carolina. After her initial diagnosis in 2008, she became metastatic in 2012 at age 46. Tammy lives each day with creativity and joy.
Patrice is a Breast Nurse Navigator for Advocate Christ Medical Center Cancer Institute in Illinois and one of our Partnership Coordinators. Christ Medical Center is a member of our Partnership Program and is honored to be the recipient of a corporate donation from LabCorp to be able to pass along Hope Scarves to women in treatment.
Barbara is a passionate and positive storyteller. She shared her inspiring story facing triple negative breast cancer with us earlier this year as one of our first story donor interviews by phone. Thanks Barbara!
