Meghan Malley passed away January 8, 2024 surrounded by family and friends, 13 years after being diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer. She lived each day with gratitude both before and after her diagnosis.
Meghan discovered Hope Scarves in its infancy in 2012, when she met founder Lara MacGregor at a conference for young women affected by breast cancer. Their friendship was instant, and Meghan was instrumental in helping the organization discover its unique focus on and support for the metastatic breast cancer community, a group that often feels overlooked since those diagnosed will never “beat” their cancer.
Subsequently, Meghan served on the Hope Scarves Metastatic Breast Cancer Research Task Force, and helped allocate money to invest in cutting-edge research that will offer more treatment options and hopefully, one day a cure. Meghan’s beautiful face still graces many of the marketing materials of Hope Scarves.
